SUNSET POND

The magenta sunset makes what could have been a common place composition more intriguing. I start off by applying the magenta as my background color. Two shades of blue & green to indicate the shapes of the evergreen & meadow. White on top of magenta works out beautifully!

After a rather wet May, we are finally getting a few stunning sunsets in the mountain. I like to paint nocturne because it's fun to go wild with strong pure colors.

SACRE COEUR NOCTURNE

After the sun sets, a blue veil soften all the colors & shapes of Paris, except for the well lit Sacre Coeur. Pure magic to see this from my balcony before I fall asleep.
