I'm sort of channeling Georgia O'Keeffe with this little Wood Anemone. She is best known for her enlarged flowers. By magnifying her subject, she emphasized shape & color, & brought attention to the tiny details within a little flower. With our busy lives, we haven't the time to see such a tiny flower. To SEE, takes time!Inspirations and sketches from my studio in the Catskill Mountain. The solitude of my Artist Retreat compels me to keep exploring, seeing, experimenting, and painting all the picturesque quality outside my window.

POPPY INSPIRATIONS
From my first visit thru the English countryside, memory of endless meadows of wild poppy have always stayed with me. So when my rep mention that Poppy is trending, I drop everything & started some new ideas for a Poppy collection.
It's not a project I can wait, mainly because my neighbor, Etsuko's Poppy garden is in full bloom. For my illustration, finding the right reference is half the job.
I've travel far & wide to visit famous gardens. I have yet to come across a Poppy garden that can match her Poppy collection. Here's a few pictures to inspire the gardener in you!Tuesday, May 14, 2013

CUSTOM POSTAGE STAMP
Fooling around with some old pansy sketches this week. Found a little time to update my COTTAGEWEDDING collection. With my new pansy line, I included some custom postage stamp. Would a bride pay double to personalize their wedding suit?? Maybe I'm on the right track. This morning, I came upon an article on Envelopments new line. Even a big company is using zazzle.com to coordinate with their line of paper products.Wednesday, April 18, 2012
FROM MY GARDEN
Spring brings on so many inspirations, one leads to another... a fresh bouquet from my garden enhances a painting, or any corner.
