SNOWY GARDEN BENCH SKETCH

A tranquil little scene after a snowfall.

I like to start my drawing on tone paper, so I can use the sepia tone as my middle value.

After a simple outline of the bench, I draw & shape the bench with a kneaded eraser. I use 8B graphite to work in the darker values. Touches of white oil paint to indicate the snow.

Beauty in a little drawing, sometimes, it's that simple. "The world is full of magic" WB Yeats

Typical winter scene of the Catskill Mountain

Each season brings its own beauty & inspirations. Familiar winter view from my studio. A typical snowy scene of the Catskill Mountain.

The cardinal & reindeer are elements of the Holiday Season. With a few basic Photoshop tricks...

I have another new design to add to my Winter Collection.

WINTER DESIGN

I'm high up in the mountain, I dont usually see Cardinal in January. It was a lovely surprise to see a pair of cardinal hanging around the bird feeder today. This is how my new design got started.

VALENTINE GREETING

old fashion watercolor & a little digital help

I could use fonts from PS, but hand written calligraphy makes anything special… tried many variations before I scan it into PS.

WINTER GARDEN

The chickadees in my garden are taking full advantage of the milder temperature today. Their conversation is always welcome anytime.
